About Corey McLaughlin
Hello and welcome!
My name is Corey, and I am a certified Life Coach, JourneyDance Guide and Facilitator, and Therapeutic Movement Teacher.
My personal journey has evolved into a deep understanding that there is a core part of every one of us that has the capacity to unconditionally love the parts within us that we judge. This life-altering work fostered my strong sense of purpose in how I could coach others.
I know what it's like to make this journey! As I look back I see that throughout my own life I felt I needed to pretend to be okay, while inside there was a lot of pain. I believed that I was broken and could not be fixed, that I simply wasn't good enough, and all my negative thoughts and self-judgment were just the truth. My shift began as I developed a different relationship with myself, one that was based on self-care and
The personal work of healing that I did wasn't easy and the process
sometimes took me to places I did not want to go. I now embrace it as my
dharmic journey and has led to my mission: to help people become connected with their authentic selves, leading to a more peaceful and enjoyable life.
My approach is to assist people in exploring and developing self-compassion as a foundation for understanding their patterns of thought and behavior, which may have hurt them in the past and often continues to impact their present-day challenges. My passion to share this process led me to expand my Human Service education and pursue advanced training as a Spiritual Life Coach.
My love of dance:
I have always loved dance! I studied conscious dance and movement modalities for years and could see that these practices were a way to connect to the mind and heart through the body ~ I knew this would become an important part of my work. I am honored to contribute to people's healing whether as their coach, workshop facilitator, or as a leader of conscious movement in dances and in therapeutic settings.
My life work is to assist and support you in creating a more loving connection with yourself and others, leading to a peaceful and authentic life.
